Whatever your problem, it's not an FC4 problem, per se. I just used it the 
other day. Here are my vers:
$ rpm -qa | grep bitt
bittorrent-4.1.4-2.2.fc4.rf
bittorrent-gui-4.1.4-2.2.fc4.rf
You might try upgrading...
