This is the command I use to configure clam:
./configure --enable-milter --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr
--sysconfdir=/etc --with-dbdir=/var/lib/clamav --disable-zlib-vcheck
When you attempt to run clamd directly, what happens?

I have installed the following clamav packages and attempted to follow
the instructions in the server README. The service "clamd.<service>
exists (from chkconfig), but does not start. In fact it fails with a
non-defined error.
Is there any better documentation on how to configure clamav for FC4?
