Customisation of file types is one of those places where GNOME's unfortunately disappeared up it's own backside :-(
I second that. I've tried on several occasions to change what file associations I have, and either (1) the new app doesn't appear on the list (2) the new app appears, but only once (3) the new app appears on the list, but cannot successfully be selected and run (4) the new app can run, but it can't be made to be the default app (5) everything works Possibility (5) is last on the list for a reason. They are in order of liklihood. When (2) occurs, (3) also occurs the one time one gets to try it. Mike -- p="p=%c%s%c;main(){printf(p,34,p,34);}";main(){printf(p,34,p,34);} This message made from 100% recycled bits. You have found the bank of Larn. I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you. I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
