Turned on my home Linux box, from work, and through VNCserver loaded the xorg-x11*.49*.rpm’s. Rebooted PC. Re-entered the PC and checked the Xorg log. Looked OK.

Left PC running and expected to see a good console display when I got home.

The Xwindow on the console looks fine^H^H^H^H adequate for my needs.
