Sound worked on my FC3 box using XMMS and mplayer until I ran up2date. Now XMMS and mplayer both are working, but there is no sound. When I boot from the older 2.6.9 kernel, sound works like it should. If I load the knoppix disk, I have sound. The motherboard has an Intel I82801DB sound chip. How does one go about troubleshooting such a problem? Would it be wise (or even possible) to back out the changes? Thanks in advance for any help, bruce
