yes, bios is set to boot from cd. yes, it is primary.

Is your CDRom drive master or slave? I thought it has to be master on the
IDE-channel to be able to start from it...

Also, have you enabled the option in the BIOS?

it is set up the same way it was to install fc2, which installed no problem.
