Speaking of updates, is it possible to update from FC2 to FC3 over the web? I can not burn CDs and also run on a 56kModem.

Hmm, tall order. Two options.

1) Yum update
2) Download ISOs and do an HDD installation

Both methods are going to take long (1) has the advantage of only downloading what you need, while (2) has the advantage of being cleaner/safer and allowing you more options. However, (1) could bring about some difficult to predict quirks as big changes come about in the system as FC2 to FC3 does contain some big changes. Also I not even sure if you can use (1) to get to FC3, I do know it should bring you to the latest version (FC4 + updates). (2) allows you to choose exactly what version you're updating too.

If going with (2) I suggest a good download or ftp client which will beable to resume downloads, etc. Using a bittorrent client should be even better, but I am unsure of how well it works with connections as unstable as a modem.

Good luck
