First off FC4 is fairly leading edge for someone new. I believe I suggested to the person having DVD problems that they try a less leading edge distribution.
Since FC4 is fast moving, I believe the problem that I had earlier is now over with incorrect ownership of USB dvdburners with current development mixing of packages.
The usb-dvdburner is now set to the console user and is burning a DVD successfully.
