I am not used to that... I don't know why the parent is init (I'm a newbie), but it would be good if in the future it were somegthing more killable. Perhaps it is run from an initscript, and could instead be run from something run by an initscript? Say, the initscript runs a detached shell script which runs the command in a subshell?
