Take a look either in /etc/rc.sysinit (around lines 147-151, the
lines:

ide=""
scsi=""
network=""
audio=""
other=""

allow you to specify extra modules)

or create a /etc/rc.modules (loaded by rc.sysinit at around line 537
in my version of the script).
