Back again...
Ok, I tried to boot the other, older kernal. It boots correctly to
runlevel 3, and I'm logged in as root. And ssh'd into it now also.
But when I tried to startx, it fails. The last line in the Xorg.0.log
is:
--------
AUDIT: Thu Jul 14 14:34:29 2005: 2552 X: client 5 rejected from local
host
--------
I told the installer no selinux, and IIRC, no iptables. Wheres the
security officer, I am losing my patience & need somebody to beat
on. :)
Is there a non gui, or ncurses based system services editor?
system-config-services segfaults w/o x running.
If you run setup from a root shell, you get the TUI screen that lets you
add services to startup and perform other functiions related to the system.
