You made me think, I had watched mplayer-plugin load the video files several dozen times since I got it up, yet when I posted, I spoke of gmplayer. Sorry for the misspeak. So, it's actually firefox with mplayer-plugin that's freezing/locking up. I've tried stripping all the other extensions out of Firefox, but to no avail. I'm working on the firewall now, to make sure that the right ports are open; preliminary testing shows the right ports being accessed, but no difference in results. -- Claude Jones Bluemont, VA, USA
