I have problem getting my old laptop to boot into the installationprogram
it halts in the middle of the boot and the last messages is:

PIIX4: IDE controller at PCI slot 0000:00:01.1
   PIIX4: chipset revision 1
PIIX4: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
       ide0: BM-DMA at 0x1100-0x1107, BIOS settings: hda:DMA, hdb:pio
       ide0: BM-DMA at 0x1108-0x110f, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:pio
hda: FUJITSU MHK2048AT, ATA DISK drive

have tried with FC3 och FC4 and latest debian with same results, got it working with gentoo but that is too slow for the computer

does anyone know how to solve this?
