Hi

Debian has a graded system of dependencies to express this.postgresql-server requires postgresql-common (perhaps) but merelysuggests postgresql-documentation.

If more granularity is desired file them as enhancements with yourrationale. Dont break the dependency mechanism by working around it withforce and no deps switches
