Try putting "options lockd tcpport=4001 udpport=4001" in
/etc/modprobe.conf and rebooting to force lockd to use port 4001.

Hi

I did that, but while booting, I get the following:

date hostname kernel: lockd: Unknown parameter 'tcpport'

Any ideas?

With kind regards

Andy

In Fedora Core given the init.d scripts and their support for loading options from /etc/sysconfig/nfs (a file that does not exist by default), there is an easier way than editing the start scripts.

I have attached an OpenOffice writer document on the topic that I used recently in a brief lesson.

This works in FC3 and FC4.
