The splash images aren't showing up in grub when I boot; instead; I
get no image. Here is what I did:

created a /boot/grub/images and put the .xpm.gz in there. I made the
.xpm.gz 644 permission. I then edited /boot/grub/menu.1st (which also
edited the main grub.conf) to use that splash image in
/boot/grub/images. Did I miss something?
