If you look through the archives you will find a thread titled FC4 freezes. In it I talk about my experience with FC4 freezing. I would suggest installing the latest FC3 test kernel and seeing how it works for you. http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/3/i386/kernel-2.6.11-1.35_FC3.i686.rpm Use "rpm -i --nodeps --oldpackage kernel-2.6.11-1.35_FC3.i686.rpm" to install it. For me it boots without errors and fixes the freeze problem.
