No, as said /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors. sensors-detect can create that
file. It i.e. has following content

MODULE_3=eeprom
MODULE_4=it87

(I omitted other comment lines.)

Check your motherboard's manual to know which chipset it has and look at
the lm_sensors homepage.
