Hi,
I am trying to get amavis working on my system. I installed a
rpm-package from dag-repository (amavisd-new-2.3.1-1.1.fc3.rf).
I followed instructions of
http://www200.pair.com/mecham/spam/clamav-redhat-amavis.html dealing
with installing and settings.
When I finally issued the command <amavisd> this message is printed:
]# amavisd

Assuming this is a dependency problem I tried to install rpm -Uvh
perl-Archive-Tar-0.22-15.noarch.rpm, but then I see this error:
]# rpm -Uvh perl-Archive-Tar-0.22-15.noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
perl(:WITHOUT_ITHREADS) is needed by perl-Archive-Tar-0.22-15.noarch
perl(:WITHOUT_THREADS) is needed by perl-Archive-Tar-0.22-15.noarch
perl(:WITHOUT_LARGEFILES) is needed by
perl-Archive-Tar-0.22-15.noarch
In archives this is mentioned a number of times. Still I don't know how
to solve this. (I am trying to learn but not yet skilled enough in
linuxaffairs)
I would appreciate if somebody could give me some help.
Peter.
