Any recommendations to customizing iptables other than adding rules by hand?
I do not use a gui so text-frontends are welcome.
So far on FC3 I've just added in chains by hand and then "service iptables save" and that usually works but not always and I'm not sure if I did something wrong.
I use shorewall. Take your time setting it up, the instrutions are quite good but you need to learn the concepts. I think there's a webmin frontend for it.
