The FC3 release notes tell you to do this:
# cp -rp /dev/vm* /etc/udev/devices
after running vmware-config.pl
You might also want to do this:
# chkconfig vmware on
as this should fix some problems with the symlinks under /etc/rc.d/init.d
I believe the patch at http://ftp.cvut.cz/vmware/vmware-any-any-update90.tar.gz takes care of both the udev and the initscript issues.
