Uhm, never mind. I do find my recent addresses in the 
~/.kde/share/apps/config/kmailrc. Apparently it's written after I quit KMail. 
Not sure if it's overwritten or appended everytime I quit Kmail. So in case 
you don't find it there, try quitting kmail first.
