I can understand this, but why not place the 64bit lib in /usr/lib and the 32
lib in /usr/lib32? After all I installed the 64 bit package and it would
make sense that the defaults would be the 64bit.

Tried this

/configure --enable-libsuffix=64 --with-other-ldirs="-L/usr/lib64"

But for some reason it still looks at /usr/lib

I don't know as I am no programmer. But if this is true how can I get KVIRC
to compile using 32bit? Thnx for the reply.
