In my case, the graphical install partially refreshed, and similarly once the install was complete kde or gnome or xfce(sic?) (I tried em all before getting anywhere) would partially refresh. I managed to install just fine with the 'linux nofb' option (graphical anaconda then worked), and then, (although I bet this maybe wasn't the best thing to do), I ran 'yum update' and just updated everything...when I woke up the next morning, I rebooted and bam! Everything was pretty. I looked around and understand this is a problem with an older version of xorg or something?
