Hi Lee - here - and fast - I am back again.... ....the problem seems to be the new kernel and not dhclient.... After updating nothing more than the kernel and the kernel utils eth0 would refuse to com up again .... One huge step closer to a solution, thanks to your email! I will try my luck with a new posting: "no eth0 after updating to new kernel"...
