Hi. Could anyone tell me if there's a nice latex environment for linux? Or do I need to use default text editors and compile text manually? Thanks.
Depending upon what you mean by environment, besides Lyx which was already mentioned, there is the combination of [x]emacs + auctex + preview-latex.
