The browser is easy. IMO, Opera is the least w3c compliant mainstream
browser. Firefox has great extensions that add considerable
functionality.

As for email, I have tried them ALL (mahogany, sylpheed, kmail, t-bird,
ad nauseum). While bloated and imperfect I still prefer Evolution. I
particularly like the virtual folders and I can sync the FC devel
calendar. Neither of these is much of an nntp client (I keep going back
to pan or knode). Both T-Bird and Evolution could use some improvement
in filters and "personalities" a la Eudora (IMO).
