Thanks !! I did tail -f /var/log/messages and it worked just fine. The problem is that I'm trying to get to work a midi device wich needs some firmware loader, and the p the driver for the device needs to be installed in Windows, and then after copying some Windows files to linux, I can run the firmware loader and install the driver on linux. Huge problem, I don't have Windows ! So I'm going to search some more... Thanks for the help !!!
