This thread seems to be getting top posted, so I'll continue. I've got apcupsd working with FC3 and a Back-UPS RS 1500. These are the lines I needed to edit in /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf:- This UPS is USB only, so set UPSCABLE usb UPSTYPE usb The HID devices have been moved up a directory from /dev/usb/ since I last installed apcupsd on RH9 so change the device line to:- DEVICE /dev/hiddev[0-15] This should get you going, I think. I also set:- BATTERYLEVEL 25 MINUTES 15 but these are down to personal preference. To do a quick test of your installation, set the TIMEOUT parameter to something other than zero. BTW I used:- http://dag.wieers.com/packages/apcupsd/apcupsd-3.10.13-1.1.fc3.rf.i386.rpm to install. Good luck.
