Hi I thought I had a problem with my UPS but it turns out to be a larger problem with USB in general. I had FC2 and the UPS worked fine. Then I upgraded to FC3 and several updates later, USB is not working with my UPS. In fact, it seems not to be working. Here is the dmesg info. It seems that usb finds my UPS, but then all usb's are disconnected! I searched on the net, I found a similar question on FedoraForum but no answers. Thanks for your help I have the 2.6.10-1.766_FC3 kernel, Javier [root@bloody ~]# dmesg |grep usb usbcore: registered new driver usbfs usbcore: registered new driver hub usbcore: registered new driver hiddev usbcore: registered new driver usbhid drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.0:USB HID core driver usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2 hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [APC Back-UPS ES 500 FW:801.e5.D USB FW:e5] on usb-0000:00:01.3-1 usb usb1: USB disconnect, address 1 usb usb2: USB disconnect, address 1 usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2 [root@bloody ~]# -- ------------------------------ /\_/\ |O O| pepebuho.jp@xxxxxxxxx ~~~~ Javier Perez ~~~~ While the night runs ~~~~ toward the day... m m Pepebuho watches from his high perch.
