I found the solution for my mediacheck fail problems with FC3. At the boot prompt type: linux ide=nodma I think I've burned twenty-five disks and run md5sum at least fifty times. Thanks to everybody that tried to help. There is a lot of contradictory information out there. None of the nocddma answers worked for me.
