For a convenient list of alternatives to TurboTax, visit http://www.irs.gov and follow the links for "Free File".
I know about the IRS web site and this list.
You will eventually come to a page listing 18 computerized tax services that the IRS recognizes as producing acceptable digital tax returns - TurboTax, TaxCut, and 16 others.
Are any of these native Linux applications or are all of them Web or Windows based? If so, list the Linux applications. This would more likely get Intuit's attention.
Those interested in finding an online service that does not ask for specifc browsers can explore their options.
