Mounting SCSI External CDRW Problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

got an SCSI external CDRW that is seen in the hardware browser as /dev/scd0. kb3, though, doesn't see it auto or manually. It appears in Disk Management as /dev/cdrom1. How do I mount it.? I have attempted to mount with CDs that contain data and that work with the internal cdrom. Cheers.

[root@localhost root]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrw
mount: /dev/scd0 is not a valid block device
[root@localhost root]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd /mnt/cdrw
mount: /dev/hdd is not a valid block device

[root@localhost root]# cdrecord -scanbus

Something I don't un though, is, it seemed to work once(I think),

[root@localhost cobalt]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrw
mount: block device /dev/scd0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/scd0,
or too many mounted file systems
