However, off the disks that you now have, you will get a working, stable installation with Gnome, KDE or both. Many of the updates address security issues which aren't important for machines without internet access. Therefore, I suggest that you install the release on the machines and worry about updates later - when you become more familiar with FC3/Linux. Packages come with documentation which is installed by default. You'll get plenty of help from the list. I do a GREAT DEAL of post-secondary adult education work. Given the importance of credibility I suggest that you get a working installation on a personal machine first. > Matt Beals > Consultant > Enfocus Certified Trainer, Markzware Recognized Trainer > (206) 618-2537 - cell > (425) 697-5838 - home > mailto:matt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Skype: mattbeals98026 > > Come visit me at: > http://www.mattbeals.com > http://www.actionlistexchange.net > > > > From: David Cary Hart <Fedora@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > Reply-To: "For users of Fedora Core releases <fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx>" > > <fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx> > > Date: Sat, 12 Feb 2005 16:07:41 -0500 > > To: "For users of Fedora Core releases <fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx>" > > <fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx> > > Subject: Re: Need to download complete binaries and documentation > > > > On Sat, 2005-02-12 at 12:34 -0800, Matt Beals wrote: > >> I am trying to get Fedora Core 3 installed on a network that has NO internet > >> connection.
