Hello All, I don't know what's going on on my workstation at the moment. I have Gaim running FC3 and Gnome and was out of my room to eat. Since two hours i didn't have seen my screen. Now when i came back there was 91 Gaim instances running and i couldn't do anything because the whole system was freezed cause of very high load: [root@daemon ~]$ uptime 21:46:50 up 11:51, 4 users, load average: 38.58, 89.60, 57.76 A SSH login to that machine took about 2 or 3 minutes to get connected. After doing # killall gaim it took some minutes until the load was normal again: [root@daemon ~]# uptime 21:51:32 up 11:55, 4 users, load average: 0.51, 35.95, 43.22 I have done the SSH login from my laptop so after looking at my workstation i saw, that X or the Gnome desktop was totally freezed. I think it was Gnome because the mouse works but I don't know about that. I don't need help for this problem but just wanna say what happend. Maybe i'm going to report a bug about this but maybe i can hear some information here so i don't need to post a bug cause everybody knows allready? ;-) Kind regards # Johannes
