Had this problem with an FC3 install on a SCSI-only system with an
Adaptec 2940.  Had to temporarily add an IDE disk to install and update
the system, after which the SCSI drives were recognized.  Then copied
the system to the SCSI disks, edited fstab/grub.conf, made an
appropriate initrd, and rebooted from the SCSI disks.  Has been running
happily since.  A boot CD with the working driver would be nice.
