I am looking for an FTP client.
I have used gFTP and it works, but it is inadequate. I am looking for something which allows me to configure multiple connections. Also, I need to be able to specifiy a remote folder. gFTP either does not have this ability or I have not seen how to do it in the software.

I recently stumbled across a feature in nautilus (or whatever program monitors the trash folder. you can open your trash folder, then choose connect to server, which mounts the ftp site directory as a folder. I imagine that you can connect to many servers and move files from one ftp site to another. I tried out this feature for a repository and then bookmarked the page for later use.

I use gftp most of the time, but this feature looks like it might be more promising than diving through many levels via gftp. I'm sure that bookmarking the sites in gftp might be just as adequate.

I haven't tried http, nfs or smb mounts with this feature, but if they are part of nautilus, they should be capable using these other protocols.

You might try to tinker with this feature a bit.

I used KBear but was unsuccessful getting this client to make any connection.
I have also tried IglooFTP PRO. It works, but this is not a free client. I am looking for an open source client.
Can anyone suggets a good client?
