Watch which version of the card you have .. the version is either written in 
some obscure place in the documentation, or written on the back of the card.

In my case, the version number was hidden in the documentation version number 
written in small print at the bottom of some of the pages in the user manual.

version 2 cards needs ndiswrapper.    version 4 cards MAY have some native 
support.  YMMV
