linuxconf put a really sane interface on a largely dysfunctional tool
which had the devastating effect of making people trust it.

I had a girlfriend like that - pretty on the outside, gears whirring,
spinning, popping off on the inside.

for people that like single point admin tools (doesn't handle hardware
issues like display or mouse) - I heartily recommend webmin
