I don't know whether skype uses IPs rather than hostnames. About the
messenger applications I already wrote you something.

And that host with IP 192.168.11.1 is able to serve as a nameserver?
I.e. running "host www.google.com" on it prints out the IPs?

Without a nameserver entry, how do you think name resolving can happen?
