Synching Palm with Thunderbird

I know this might be a stupid question, but is there a way to sync Palm with Thunderbird mail, instead of Evolution? I prefer T-bird features (or Mozilla-Mail ones) instead of Evolution. And I use my Palm a lot, so I would like to use just one tool.
