I updated to newest kernel (FC-3) and am getting error message in boot... fs type usbdevfs not supported by kernel OK - so I look at /boot and see... # ls -l /boot total 10383 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5824 Jun 15 2004 boot.b -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 612 Jun 15 2004 chain.b -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 53807 Jan 13 14:48 config-2.6.10-1.741_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 50929 Nov 2 12:53 config-2.6.9-1.667 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51271 Nov 18 13:16 config-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51431 Jan 2 13:52 config-2.6.9-1.724_FC3 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Jan 20 07:35 grub -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 579543 Jan 19 12:00 initrd-2.6.10-1.741_FC3.img -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 393087 Nov 22 09:39 initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 393151 Nov 22 16:13 initrd-2.6.9-1.681_FC3.img -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 391795 Jan 5 00:22 initrd-2.6.9-1.724_FC3.img -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 549 Nov 10 2003 kernel.h drwx------ 2 root root 12288 Apr 10 2003 lost+found lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 Aug 21 2003 module-info -> module- info-2.4.20-20.9 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 640 Jun 15 2004 os2_d.b lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 Sep 17 10:42 System.map -> System.map-2.4.22-1.2194.nptl -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 728476 Jan 13 14:48 System.map-2.6.10-1.741_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 714266 Nov 2 12:53 System.map-2.6.9-1.667 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 724204 Nov 18 13:16 System.map-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 714267 Jan 2 13:52 System.map-2.6.9-1.724_FC3 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Jun 28 2004 vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2194.nptl -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1439626 Jan 13 14:48 vmlinuz-2.6.10-1.741_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1405861 Nov 2 12:53 vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1417598 Nov 18 13:16 vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1422969 Jan 2 13:52 vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.724_FC3 and I see that System.map vmlinuz and module-info links are pointing to old kernels. Is there a command to run to update them or do I just delete the links and make them myself by hand? This was an 'upgrade' of FC-1 and it seems to run alright but I can't seem to sync my Kyocera Palm Phone via USB and I upgraded the kernel to get that done and I'm thinking that this may be in the way.
