Subject: 2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp Boot Problem
I just upgraded from kernel 2.6.10-1.737_FC3smp to kernel 2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp. After the upgrade, if I reboot, the process just hangs at the grub boot screen. It no longer times out and does not boot to the default. Any ideas on why this would be happening? This is the first time this has been an issue after a kernel upgrade. If it matters, the following were upgraded at the same time as the kernel.
Install: kernel-smp.i686 0:2.6.10-1.741_FC3 Update: dovecot.i386 0:0.99.13-3.FC3 Update: gimp.i386 2:2.2.2-0.fc3.3 Update: hal.i386 0:0.4.5-1.FC3
Pertinent info from grub.conf:
#boot=/dev/hda default=0 timeout=5 splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz title Fedora Core (2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp) root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb initrd /initrd-2.6.10-1.741_FC3smp.img title Fedora Core (2.6.10-1.737_FC3smp) root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.10-1.737_FC3smp ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb initrd /initrd-2.6.10-1.737_FC3smp.img
Thanks!
