Don't forget to mention the lightning fast advfs file system.
I'm using cyrus at home. FC3 with one user.

What is this advfs??

Regarding Tru64 cluster and Cyrus performance. Very fast ADVanced File System on Tru64. I hope it will go OSS. Dreaming? http://www.encompassus.org/surveys/unixsurvey/unixsurvey.html

I have at home:
RH FC3, Intel D845GBV mobo, P4 2GHz, 1GB, xfs,ext3(/boot)
IDE UDMA 133, every disk on separate channel (no master/slave)
  7200 rpm, 8MB cache
SUN Ultra 60, Solaris 9.0, 2 x 450 MHz, 2GB, SCSI
Digital PW500au AXP, Tru64 5.1B, 500 MHz, 1GB
SCSI, disks connected with the SCSI to ATA converter
  ( http://www.acard.com/eng/product/scside/aec-7720uw.html )

PW500 is still my fastest IO machine ;-)
Maybe apple and oranges here, but i have some real life experience
on the bigger iron.
