I don't know. I would suggest the md5sum program for Windows that you
can get from http://www.etree.org/md5com.html instead.

Yes. Use Nero's "Burn Image" option to create the CDs, don't just burn
the files to CD as regular files.

Nothing else springs to mind. You may find the Red Hat Linux 9
Installation Guide (http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-9-
Manual/install-guide/) a useful reference. Whilst it's for an older
version of Linux, most of the procedure is very similar to installing
Fedora Core.
