Just another thought. My computer is behind a rather old SMC router. With MTU
set at the default 1500, I have all sorts of obscure problems. I reset it 1400
and things seem much better.
(To set the MTU, edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifconfig-eth0 and add
MTU=1400)
I assume you meant ifcfg-eth0. Still no luck. Thanks, though.
