Anything ending in .iso is an image. Assuming you're installing from a CD, you definitely want disc 1, and probably discs 2-4 (you can do an FTP/web install with just disc one, but it's slower, and it's good to have a backup copy in case something happens). The rescue-cd may also be a smart idea to get. The SRPM discs have the source for everything. The DVD image there is nice if you have a DVD burner, b/c it contains everything on one disc, but ... most of us don't have that luxury. Yet.
