Does the subject rpm exist? If not, can I use a 32 bit version with fc3 AMD64 installed? (livna no longer supports x86_64 and freshrpm only seems to have x86_64 rpm's mostly for fc2.)

I have seen one for FC2. You could try it:

http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/freshrpms/fedora/2/xmms/xmms-mp3-1.2.10-2.2.p.1.fc2.fr.x86_64.html

That did work. Got the xmms, xmms-skins and xmms-mp3 for fc2 x86_64 and replaced the default fc3 rpms. Thanks for the link!

The above solved the problem as a workaround using fc2 x86_64 rpms. However, later, with Mr. Berry's help, I obtained a current fc3 i386 source rpm for xmms-mp3 from livna and did a rpmbuild on it to create a fc3 rpm. Then I returned to the original fc2 x86_64 versions of xmms and xmms-skins and install my newly built xmms-mp3 rpm and it worked. Could have stayed with the fc2 rpms but wanted to try this exercise.
