This is a fairly straightforward issue (client -in your case- or server configuration) which the original replier hints at:

  "Are you sure all your usernames and passwords are the same 
  for each machine?"

TCP via netbios communication in a Windows enviroment performs authentication in a fairly passive, transparent way - as long as the credential match machine-to-machine or machine-to-domain.

If, as it appears in this case, the server remains unchanged, you simply need to set your smbclient credentials (user, password and domain - if applicable).

Try "man smbclient" for more info.
