Yes, I did follow Werner's instructions to the letter. This was a fresh install, where I rebuild the server 2 days ago. The only eccentricity that I allowed myself was to do a network install of FC3. Then I ran all the updates through Red Hat Network, and finally I installed 10g. I am able to connect to the network on the server (I've already rebuilt my schemas), it's only the listener that fail. Let me know what else I can provide to help us crack this nut. Thanks, A. (http://www.puschitz.com/InstallingOracle10g.shtml) 10g works for me (including listener) - what does your /etc/hosts file look like? Also, can you cut and paste your listener.ora file?
